I am going to buy a dell studio 15 soon and was wondering what anti virus and spyware stuff is the best for it? And It's ok if it costs. I just want total protection from anything bad.

And I have never had a laptop before and was wondering about the basic things like using it plugged in the wall?
    does it have a lock?
how does the wireless mouse work?
    do you like vista?
what color did you get? do you like it?
how long does the 6cell battery last?
how long does it take to get hot?
what happens if you close the laptop ? does the screen go to sleep? does everything close?

I forgot to ask how long do you think the laptop will last till it breaks down?? Im just not sure i want to pay for 4 years if it breaks down in 3.
    Thanks!!!!!

I'm trying to answer as many questions as I can here:

Is this a question? If so then yes you can use it plugged in.

    A lock is optional.

If you buy a wireless mouse, you'll get the mouse and a usb adapter. Plug in the usb adapter into a usb port and your ready to go.

I've never had any major problems with vista. Most if not all current programs and drivers will work, just make sure to get 2+ gigs of ram so it'll run smoothly.

You can decide whether the computer goes to sleep, shuts down or does nothing at all.

    Hope this helps!

It's the "Shared Dual Channel DDR2 at 667MHz". Just make sure to get 2gb minimum, 3 would be perfect.

For the anti-virus use this, you won't need anything else. You can uninstall the Norton 30 day trial that Dell puts on their systems.
