I am new to this forum. I am Sherry and I am looking to buy a laptop. The Dell sale looks really good for the B130.

Will it play CDs and DVDs?? If so, how is the sound? Is the picture alright? I looked at the next step up...the "E" series. They have sound and video cards and have supped up screens (the B130 doesn't) with "True Life" to make it clearer. I am looking to be able to do digital scrapbooking, designing for digital scrapbooking (both of the former require LARGE memory eating hogs of programs--PaintShop Pro and Photoshop Elements), digital photo editting (nothing too exotic), interneting while the kids are outside playing and movies while on vacation. Will the B130 do that? I am on a fairly small budget which is why the B130 is so tempting.

    Thanks!
    Sherry

Only looking quickly here the $499 one is dead, there still appears to be a $449, and $599 that are working...

    Enter the following E-value codes:

    $599 - 6F909-D80609F
    http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?cs=19&kc=6f909&oc=d80609f&x=17&y=15
    Pentium 1.8/15.4"/1GB/60GB/CDRW/DVDRW/WiFi/4cell

    $449 - 6F909-D80605R
    http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?cs=19&kc=6f909&oc=d80605r&x=9&y=7
    Pentium 1.8/14.1"/1GB/40GB/CDRW/DVD/WiFi/4cell
(NOTE: this nolonger has the free router with it)

$449 - 6F909-D80607F (NOT WORTH IT compared to the same as above but a celeron with this one)
    http://configure.us.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?cs=19&kc=6f909&oc=d80607f&x=4&y=14
    Celeron 1.5/15.4"/1GB/40GB/CDRW/DVD/WiFi/4cell
