Hey guys, first post on your forums here ;)

Anyways im a uni studemt from Australia and need a laptop as im at uni 5 days a week and needs notes handy with me etc.

I am considering the M1130 due to its light weight and sexi looks ;) Though there are a few things bothering me.

    1) On start up, i read in a review, the person said that the cd drive made a loud noise. Also that the disc drive is very noisey.

When in a lecture theatre as you could imgine it would be very quiet and i dont want to annoy people haha. But, i dont care about the cd drive when it opens and closes as i use a usb stick, i just care about when it boots up from start and hybernate. But i read somewhere that you can keep a blank disc in the drive and it wont make a noise????

Also, hows the screen on these little guys? I need something that has a clear picture etc, cause of the photoshoping i will be doing.

    Thanks for your time ;)

The disc drive is only noisy when inserting or ejecting a disk for about half a second. Other than that it's silent :)

It's not loud enough to cause problems for me in lectures.
