Hey I just got my 1530 a few days ago and I have to say I LOVE it. the 1280x800 screen is nice and clear, I do have a few questions though.
Dell has released the new screen for the dell and looks like offer 3 gigs of sdram now with their new package, is this dfferent than ddr2? Or when I upgrade my ram to 4 gigs can I put in the sdram myself?
Also does anyone know where I can locate the guide to make vista run faster? It had a fairly in depth step by step on how to do a lot of things, including the "secret" startup screen. (think it was like 2-3 pages long?)
And finally I'm trying to find a driver for my 8600 gt but am unable to find one that I can install, they all say they're incapatible.

    Thanks!

It's DDR2, 667 MHz, just like you already have. It's just that there's 3 GB instead of 2 GB. It's a good thing to have 3GB so that applications open instantly, but is not essential. It is usually cheaper to buy the extra RAM from Newegg, etc. You can install it yourself.

Is it easy to upgrade from 2GB to 3? my m1530 has 2GB, and applications opening instantly sounds amazing.

I've got one more question, this time about partitions! I deleted the 2.5 gb partition dell used for MD because my computer would keep going to MD rather than windows, even if I hit the power button instead of the little house one. Anyway is there a way to delete it completely so that I can have the extra 2.5gb on my HD where windows is? Or am I stuck with having an empty partition with unusable space- unless I reinstall MD of course..
