    Hi,

I just placed an order for a 600m and waiting anxiously for it [ :)] I have a couple questions and wondering for those that do own it can answer them.

    1) Is the power cord 3 prongs or 2?
    2) How is the battery life on it? I didn't have the option to upgrade. The majority seems to be 3.5 hrs but I saw one user saying 4hrs+ or so?
    3) I got the 64mb ATI Radeon mobility with it. When you use tv-out to play a dvds or any video playback, can see the movie on both LCD and TV simultaneously? I had a problem with an HP zt3000 with a radeon 9200 that couldn't do this.
    4) Lastly are you happy with your purchase? Any potential problems to look out for?

    Thanks for reading! [ :)]

I finally got it! Yes i'm very happy with it, although I'm not sure whether I should have gone with a bigger screen. But overall for the price and performance, I'm not complaining. I just need a nice case now! :)

    1. 3 prongs
    2. I have gotten about 2-3 hours when I dont try to use the burner/dvd functions. when using those it is just about an hour (extended battery would be needed)
    3. couldnt afford to get the bigger video card, even though i wanted it: i cant help you out there.
    4. I am extremly happy with my purchase. I got this last Sept and have been loving every minute of it. It amazes me most how it never gets too hot. The thing just runs kool all the time. Even being on multiple days it just stays kool. I love that. And cant beat dual wireless. That too is very fun :)

    1) 3
    2) I'm not sure where ppl are getting 4, 5, and 6 hours. I can squeeze out a 2 hr DVD, or 2 hrs of games. I suppose if you were using common apps you could get more, but I'm no where close to these claims. I'm glad I bought the extra battery and air/car adapter.

    3) Yes both can be displayed, it is an S-video jack for the TV out. I play driving games with a FF steering wheel and video output to my projection TV and the 600m handles it all flawlessly. I had to d/l the latest driver from Dell, no probs.

    4) Absolutely. I had the video card go south and Dell had to replace the entire motherboard (ouch!), but they had it back to me in 3 days. The display is phenominal, performance is great, size is decent, but battery is par. Best laptop I've ever used.

    good luck

I'm real happy with the Dell $59 case.
