I just switched over to xp on my 1530 after reading several of the guides and taking the advice from others. I still have a couple of questions though.

Which Video Card Driver should i use? I will be playing some of the latest games and i have the 8600 gt installed.

Is there a driver for the battery life icon that sits in the sys tray? I know it came with it preinstalled on vista.

I often use Quicken 2008 to manage my finances and for some reason when it needs to load or perform an action, my screen actually flickers and im not sure whats causing it. I dont loose picture it just flickers which is mad annoying. Could it be the video card drivers? Maybe quicken? Not used to seeing programs do that.

Thank you in advanced for your thoughts and suggestions!

Your question regarding the video driver is kind of vague. But, in any event, visit http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/, they have directions and downloads for the latest nVidia graphics drivers.

As for the battery life icon, Windows XP has it too. It is in the Power Options Control Panel, under the Advanced Tab, check the "Always Show Icon in the Taskbar". There are other, more prettier ways to have a battery meter, of course, with the infinite widget-programs out there today.
