I'll try to keep this short and sweet, I am sincerely looking to get a Dell M1530 as my first laptop... Its going to be a college/media laptop that will travel..

Ive read and heard alot of things about the M1530 getting hot, is this any sort of problem? Also would I need a cooling pad (I cant imagine a cooling pad being easy to lug around with the laptop) or will I burn my legs without it?

Secondly, all the Dell XPS rebates on this site and others seem to be "Used to their maximum potential" or something along those lines, are rebates common, am I reading the right message or am I doing something wrong? Should I just not bother waiting for a rebate and just get it, or will one be out soon?

Thanks for any answers, even though some of the rebate questions cant be solidly answered just an educated guess would satisfy me.. Thanks :)

Rebates come up once a while.
