So I read the sticky and have all of the needed cd's etc. I have a few quick questions tho.

Can I delete all the partitions? I dont need the Dell factory restore since it will put back all the programs I dont want on my computer. How about Media Direct? I tried to reinstall it with the 1308 partition size and it never works. Can I keep so the partitions for media direct so that I dont have to reinstall it later?

Don't delete the MD partition. You can go ahead and delete the dell factory recovery partition. After reformatting you'll have to use the media direct repair utility to repair the MBR.

There was a similar thread made a week or so ago regarding reformatting a M1210.

I suggest you have a read through it (here) as it will answer most of your questions you have.
