My current laptop has screen and audio gauges that are like a line of small vertical bars, which fill up left to right as you increase it.

The QuickSet on my new laptop, instead has a triangle where from left to right, the increasing volume is represented by a taller slice of the triangle.

Hopefully you caught my drift. Anyways, I feel like the new QuickSet doesn't give me as precise control over the sound and screen, so I was wondering if I could get the old version on it. I've spent quite some time looking around for a solution.

    Thanks!

Dell usually keeps older versions of their software online, check Welcome to Dell Support first. I can try to help you find it, but I need to know which system you have.

Go to Drivers and Downloads Dell - Drivers and Downloads
Find your current model, find the current QuickSet file download page.
Look for the link "Other Versions" to find all the previous versions of the file.

Alternatively you can poke around the FTP site: ftp://ftp.dell.com/
