Ok, I have decided to take the plunge and try windows Vista on my E1505. I just have some questions for everyone. If I decided that I didnt like vista, can I use my re-installation disk to go back to windows XP MCE ? I mean basically, like reformatting and starting over with XP. Also, anyone that has try it, how do they like it ?

    Thanks guys.

A reformat would remove everything on the hard drive even Vista, so yes you can use the recovery disk and go back to XP < this goes for any computer.

I had it running on my e1505 for about a month Overall it seemed to run just fine. It was much snappier than I thought it would be, but not quite up to WinXP yet. Aero is very nice though.

I also had it running for awhile on my 1705. I agree it was fast, stable, and Aero is really nice. I also really liked the sidebar (so much that I installed yahoo widgets on my XP machine). The only problem I had was the driver support for my webcam such that I could not get the microphone to work properly so I had to revert back to XP. If not for the webcam issues I would still be running Vista.
