    Quick question about e1505...

    I just got my e1505, and I was wondering if there was something I have to do to get my sony dvd( the one that came with it) drive to work?
    The disc spins and the light comes on but it acts like there is nothing in the drive please help

    also if I have the core duo, insn't the centrino sticker on the computer supposed to say duo? mines just says centrino

    Do you really like the sticker?!
    I remove mine when I receive my E1505
    Its not really a big deal as long as your processor is the "core duo" :)

    Mine came with the 'Centrino' and 'Windows XP' stickers instead of 'Centrino Duo' and 'Windows Vista ready'.
    Not that I care, both were wiped out anyway.

    I also have the sony drive. No problems so far, maybe you should give more details on your problem..

    I'd call up dell about both issues, maybe you can get them to send you new case badges too lol. Mine has XP/vista rcapable, and a centrino duo on it

    and I love the badges lol, stupid I know but I love those little stickers, they give you something to look at, on my old laptop the the clear plastic peeled off the top of the XP sticker, but I still letf it on

    call dell about the drive,one way to to test that it actually works id to try booting from the drive if you have intel pro wireless you get the centino sticker, as the intel chipest, wireless, and cpu togrther make up centrino, its just a sticker,I'm sure you can find plenty of them on ebay if you really want it, I took my stickers off, they look tacky and I dont want to advertise what I have to potential thieves
