So I just got my laptop yesterday and I've reinstalled everything and everything is good good good. The only thing not working is my webcam; the webcam center can take pictures but the pictures are just black. I installed the drivers from the webcam cd and I downloaded new ones from dell.ca and they didn't fix it... maybe I'm doing something wrong I don't know.

If anyone can lemme know how to fix this or can redirect me to another thread that has the answer then that would be great.

    Thanks!

Just for kicks, Google and download Yawcam and see if it works.

    i had the same problem.

answer = turn brightness up on start up in dell webcam center/manager. when you reinstall the programs all the colour controls revert to 0

even dell couldnt figure out what the problem was, through both remote assistance and sending a technician to replace the webcam. but then i realise everything was on 0 haha

Haha, yeah no kidding. I guess I should've fiddled with those controls in the first place cause I noticed them but never really touched them figuring it was just a driver problem. But ya, it worked out good so thanks a lot man.

How about this problem. M1530 two months old. Webcam worked on first week as I took photo and video. Webcam Manager now says no camera attached. Plug in camera to start.

Have I forgotten a button/switch as I was like a kid with new toy when I did this originally. Manual doesn't tell me anything that I cna see? Help!!
