Alright I will make this quick as possable. Can I use my 19" LCD HDTV as a monitor for my Vostro 1400. The tv has HDMI, VGA, Component, and Svideo imputs.

    1. For a Vostro 1400 I would want to hook up through VGA because theirs no HDMI port on this computer, Correct?

    2. Im assuming VGA dosent cover sound right?, so Ill have to have my speakers hooked up to the computer for it, Correct?

    3. MY Vostro has the standered 1280 x 800 screen res. My TV has a 1400 x 900 screen res. Will the VGA downgrade to the right resoulotion? Or will it look bad?

    Thanks--

    1. Yes use VGA

    2. You can buy a cable that has 3.5mm headphone jack on one end to red and white RCA connectors on the other

    3. Your video card should detect the correct resolution, if not, you can change it in your settings
