I un-installed the intel wireless card utility 2 days ago. Ever since then, whenever I log on I see the microsoft error reporting message saying quickset had to close. What? It was open for 3 seconds and it crashed? So I opened it again through programs, and it happened again right away. What's wrong? I already tried installing the newest version from dell.

Try going into services and disabling the NICCONFIGSVC. This is the Dell QuickSet NIC management service.
I have an Atheros card and had to disable this service to keep it from conflicting with the rest of QuickSet.
This all has to do with power management, and how QuickSet intergrates with the BIOS and Windows Power Options to control these components. Since it's Dell propriatary, it's probably designed specifically to work with Intel wifi cards that are running the Proset junkware.

Never had to do that with my Atheros card in my E1705.

Nope. That didn't work :( Looking in the error report, it says it's including the file C:\DOCUME~1\Nick\LOCALS~1\Temp\c043_appcompat.txt This is weird. Do i have to install the intel junk again?
