Do the quicksnap covers (carbon fiber or leather) cover up the white bumpers on the lid of the e1505/6400? I looked on Dell's website and it looks like they do... but I just wanted to find out from a real person. Thanks!

No they don't, they only cover the grey part.
(proud owner of a carbon fiber quicksnap) -
how do they look? is it worth the $40-50? (thats how much it is in canada)
-
MC - Thanks for the reply. Glad I asked rather than trusting Dell's pic. I'm ordering my system tonight and it's an extra $29 so I'll probably get one. If you happen to have a picture of yours it would be great if you could post it...
Good luck with the new LCD! -
We have several pictures on here of the covers, but you are going to have search for them (should be under the topic "Quick covers" - I can't remember exactly which threads have them).
I have two of them, and they are good at protecting the outside from scratches. Yet they don't cover up the ugly white bumpers as you pointed out. -
well depending what color you get because from what i learned in art class blue and white complement each other making it look really nice
-
how bout the carbon fiber?
-
Here are a few pictures of the E1505 with the Carbon Fiber Lid:

Hope this helps!

Can I buy just the cover or do I have to get a new computer?
If I can get just the cover, where can I find one? -
You can buy them without the system they're just more expensive ($44.95).
Here's the link on Dell's site:

Is a quicksnap for the Inspiron 6000 compadable with my inspiron e1505?
-
Yes, the e1505 and 6400/6000 series are the same.

Only because I am bored, and the e1505 has the memory stick pro slot.
In case you haven't guessed, it is the leather one. I was afraid the flushness would be a problem but it isn't that bad at all.
