I was thinking about getting a replacement cover for my 6000 and just wanted to know if anyone owns one and is happy with the 'fit and finish'. Also, how do you quicksnap the darn thing on; the existing cover looks pretty secure.
-
i have one on my inspiron 9300 if that helps. it fits pretty securely on top of the existing cover by just "snapping" it into place. it looks good i guess it all depends on what ya like.

same here...its really good. I don't like the normal lid that the 9300 has, so I have the blue snap on. You don't need any tools, and it protects the lid real well. I thinking about changing colors next month. It takes about a min to put on.
-
Does the quick snap on go over the existing cover? Meaning, I do not need to take what came with my 9300 off first.
If this is the case, it will help protect the original cover as well. -
yes, that is the case.
-
it covers everything but the white trim and the inspiron logo, but the plate has its own Dell logo. It does very good at protecting the lid. The plate is made out of plastic. The most damage that i have to mine is some minor scratches which you can't see and fingerprints.

oh cool. i was planning to get one of those. is it worth the 40 something dollars?
-
i think its worth it (the woodgrain at least). everybody complements my 9300.
i have more woodgrain on the notebook than in my car. -
Can anyone who owns one of these snazzy snap lock covers for the 9300 post their pics on here? For some reason, Dell decided not to include thumbnails of their own products for the various different colors. I know the poster above posted a pic of their's in that marble red color but I wanted to see the other colors and design. Thanks.

actually its the cherrywood quicksnap. -
You can see them here in the accessories section of the website.

Can someone who has one let me know exactly how these snap on? It looks like it goes in the hinge space and then snaps over the edge of the front cover. If that's true, then the width shouldn't really matter (as long as the laptop cover isn't smaller than the width of the snap cover) and the only measurement you would have to match would be the depth (front to back). Please let me know if you have one--I'd REALLY like to get one for my Latitude.
-
it goes above the hinges and on the top of the lid (there are small grooves in the middle of the top part of the lid where the quicksnap snaps in) .
-
Just what I needed. Thanks alot! I think I'm going with the Carbon Fiber one... it's so fresh and so clean! -
I just ordered the 'cherrywood' cover, I'll let you know how I like it after it arrives.
-
I bought the Leather one for my i6000. It looks great. -
I just bought the blue one for my i9300. I hope it looks great!!!

Can you easily take it off once you put it on?

(Sorry, I couldn't resist) -
Ok Ok, you got me. Reminds me of a line from Blazing Saddles when Cleavon Little said 'Pardon me while I pull this out'.
Quicksnap covers, does anyone have one of these things?
