Hello everyone,
I have a question about the offered video cards for the new 1505's. Is this x1300 card really any better than the onboard GMA950? I have been trying to find any type of solid information but I keep getting sent to the desktop version of the card.
My problem is that I ordered a system with this card and Ive been looking at some Turion systems with more HD/RAM but onboard graphics for a few hundred dollars less. This is for my kids to use, but my oldest (9) does some gaming online WOW and Guildwars and im hoping this x1300 card or even cheaper the GMA950 would be able to handle these.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated =)
Guido.

Hey the x1300 is a budget card but is a couple times more powerful then the Intel 950GMA. The intel 950GMA will run WOW and Guildwars on low settings, but when there are a lot of people in the game around, frame rates won’t be too good. If you want a card that can run WOW and Guildwars on low settings just fine without choppy frame rates then the X1300 is a good choice. However for future games, I would recommend the X1400 for $79 more. It's yet again about twice as powerful as the x1300. You should have no problem running WOW and Guild Wars on high settings with the X1400. So in conclusion the X1300 will run WOW just fine on low settings, but if you can afford $79 extra for the X1400 its definitely worth the money.
