I'm trying to choose between the RAM options and am confused as to the difference between 'shared' dual channel DDR2 SDRAM vs. 'non shared'. Please see below for the two options.
1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz (2 Dimms) add $0
1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz (2 Dimms) [Included in Price]
Can anyone explain the difference? Also, is there a big difference if I choose 667Mhz over the 533Mhz?
Thanks!

From what i hear there isn't much difference between 533 and 667, and depending on your uses you probably won't need 667.

Any difference between 'shared' and not shared?

My understanding:
Shared ram means that memory is shared between the video card and the rest of the system. "Non-shared" implies that your video card has dedicated memory (the system ram is not shared with the video card).
Hence, 512 MB of "non-shared" ram is 512 MB for the system, plus whatever your dedicated video card has for itself. 512MB of "shared" ram means that some of the ram, say 64 MB, goes towards the video card, and the rest towards the system.
Someone should confirm this. -
For the 1210 you want shared then because the 7400 only has 64mb of ram on it, it takes the rest from the system to give it 256mb. And in the case of the 1210, where 533 and 667 are the same price, just get the 667. Like said before it wont be much of a performance gain, but its still something, and for no extra cost.

i would assume that some particular tasks will be faster if the memory and the cpu are working on the same freq, ie 667 for Yohan, right?
