I am planning on buying a XPS M1330 in the future, and am going to upgrade the RAM for it. For those of you who have one: What type of RAM does it support (Speed, # Pins, etc).

Thanks. I had gotten a 200pin PC-5300 2GB stick today (Am currently using it in my Old laptop) and called Dell. They were like: 144-Pin, which got me a tad scared.

Its definetly 200-pin...... but its most likely PC2-5300. That is 667Mhz. if its only 533MHz. then its probably PC2-4200, but find out for sure first. contact Dell Chat or Call again, they'll tell you if its PC2-5300 or PC2-4200, etc.

Yes, PC2-5300/5400 RAM will both work on the m1330.

Look in the User Manual, page 166 shows memory specifications:

Memory Module Connector: two user-accessible SODIMM connectors
    Memory Module capacities: 512MB, 1GB, 2GB
    Memory Type 667Mhz SoDIMM DDR2
    Minimum Memory: 1GB
    Maximum Memory: 4GB

Note: In order to take advantage of the dual channel band width capability,
both memory slots must be populated and must match in size.

Note: The available memory displayed does not reflect the complete maximum
memory installed because some memory is reserved for system files.

It doesn't state the number of pins, which is 200, probably because all
    667Mhz DDR2 SODIMMs are 200 pin.

The manual has instructions for installing memory on page 127
