Anyone know of any good RAM deals? Im looking to get a 2 x 1 GB set or better.
Also would DDR 3 Ram work in our laptops? Is there a benefit in using DDR3 over DDR 2?

And no ddr3 wont work. -
Newegg.com has good prices for RAM.
-
I wouldn't go for the RAM unless you can get it for around $15/GB before shipping and taxes...you can find it for better than that, but I would never pay more...note, this is for mainstream RAM that comes with a lifetime warranty.
You can find it from other companies for cheaper, but you won't get a "trusted" name. -
Will this work? Its 15.00 after mail in Rebate

good deal, except you can probably only get ONE rebate if you buy two sticks. Look for deals in pairs, 2x1GB are always going on.

Is there any performance differences between Crucial and Corsair?
I was reading a review for the corsair ram and the person said the crucial was about 30 percent faster.... -
Also what is CAS Latency?
-
You should be careful when you read those reviews. Just because the Brand is different, doesn't mean that every model is the same within each of those brands. There are "high performance" models in most brands, but I don't know how much difference it'll make in a Vostro 1500, I'll leave that to those who know.

should I get 667 MHz or 800MHz Ram?

would canadian ram work in a vostro 1500 from japan
-
If that was a serious question, answer is yes. -
it has dual citizenship thanks!
does that mean the dell 355 bluetooth chip ( if bought here in canada) should work aswell? -
355 bluetooth module should not be a problem as well
-
Thanks mrg666! do you have any links for some on sale in canada?
-
Oh and also www.ncix.com which ram is best/ compatable with vostro

I checked NCIX; the Corsair (link above) is the cheapest 2x1gb and it is a good brand with lifetime warranty. It should be fine with Vostro 1500.
Regarding bluetooth, I would recommend the following adapter instead of buying 355 module.

It is small enough to always keep it plugged on the laptop and works fine for my sister's HP laptop. It is cheap and easy to install as well (you do not need to open the laptop). But I did not see this at NCIX, you might be able to find it somewhere else in Canada. Kensington also makes a similar one, but they usually sell for around US$40.
By the way, I live in US, East Coast, so I am not that knowledgeable about shopping in Canada -
Thanks ALOT mrg666!
I always have trouble with ram... the blootooth is perfect
can just plug it into the nc2000 ill be buying thanks!
