I intending purchasing a new/reconditioned laptop to replace my almost fossilised Acer. It will mainly be used for image editing and surfing so the notion of a Dell with RGB LED screen has become a front runner after reading many threads on this forum. I have a budget of no more than a £1000 and have been looking at refurbished M6500 Covet's with three year warranties that have WUXGA RGB LED Edge to Edge 1920x1200 which i believe are glossy screens and there's also the non Covet with the same display(at a similar price) which i gather is a matt display. I also came across a Studio XPS with a 1920x1080 display which is also supposed to be very good, and on reading some posts it would appear that there are different screen manufacturers being used on the same models.
So i suppose my question is which screen/model should i go for and how can i check in advance who made the screen if there's a prefered manufacturer?

    Many thanks, Calum
