Try newegg, they always have good deals, and have a good selection.

Not sure what is your second question about 2 or 1 dimm combinations!

Like Qwester suggested, go to Newegg.com because they have 1gig (single card) for 113 right now. http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16820208024

If you buy this, you'll get 1 card so you can either just use one slot, or you can buy 2 cards and utilize the dual feature. If you only buy one, you'll need to install it in "slot A" (you'll see labels when you take out your old ones)

Another option is to buy two 512 cards and install them to get 1 gig. Either way, you'll have to take out your current memory.

There is alot of users on here, including me, that are using the memory from the link above. Some only bought 1 card and some bought 2 cards. So far there have been no complaints and it works great. Its cheaper than Dell's, and no problems at all with it.

    Hope this helps,

Nope they wont work for the acer. your dell uses the most recent DDR2, while the acer that you have uses the older DDR. (they are physically different and have different specs)

If you want to upgrade your acer you need DDR 266MHz.

Here is what I found at acer: http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/forms/portal.cfm?recordid=181&formid=3404&website=AcerPanAm.com/us&originwebsite=AcerPanAm.com&central=1&words=all&keywords=&pupv=pu

no reference to a 274, but I guess all the 270 series should be the same. Pls can you verify that this is in fact what you have!
