I have finally came to a decision to get the 1530 YAY!!!

But now the configuration is issue....I want to stay below $2000 or close to (with tax, shipping and accessories included) and I will be doing some COD4 gaming and steam games such as TF2, CS:S, Halflife, etc

I am purchasing through EPP and getting full 12% discount due to 3 year warranty deal

    Color:
    Tuxedo Black (Final Decision)

    OS:
    Vista Home Premium 32bit

    Screen:
Hi Res LCD 1440*900(Initial Decision) or LED 1440*900

    RAM:
4GB (Final Decision) (Please dont tell me to buy separate, I am uncomfortable opening up my dell and I will feel lazy to anyway...and my parents wont allow me to well buy from another online store, they want it all at the same place)

    HDD:
    320GB 5400rpm (Final Decision)

    Optical Drive:
    Slot Load DVD/CD Burner

    Graphics Card:
    8600M GT (Final Decision)

Intel Next Gen Wireless N and Dell Bluetooth (Final Decision)

    Battery:
    9-Cell (Final Decision)

    Accessories:

Help me on my decision on the options with 'or' in it

Should I lower my shipping? I am really impatient sometimes especially when it comes to tech lol.

You will stay under 2000 even if you MAX OUT EVERYTHING on the M1530. Just be sure to apply the 25% off coupon code. You can get RAm for much cheaper elsewhere like Newegg, but if you want to just get it over with, like I said before, you can max out with 4GB of ram and stay under 2000 bucks. If you want to get close to the 2000 mark, feel free to get both a 6cell for on the go and a 9 cell for when your at home on a desk.

LED Display is much recommended with your budget. Sure there are higher resolutions, but... the quality of the LED screen will outweigh.

You'll be better off using 25% off coupon. Just pick the "Good" config on normal Dell site and go from there.

I would say to just get 3GB RAM since windows 32-bits can't read all 4 GB, unless you're gonna get 64-bits vista.

Go with LED and the latter processor.

No, you WANT to get the 4GB whether off of newegg (to save money), or off of dell (if your lazy and don't really care much about the ripoff) to take advantage of the dual channel. YES, you will get asymetric dual channel if you get 3GB, but that means 2GB will be dual channel, 1GB will not be.

You can only get symmetric dual channel by getting 4GB in which all 3GB will be dual channel even though 32-bit processors don't support all 4.

Of course, I'd recommend that, but if you can't afford it, you've still got an excellent machine. :)

Seems a bit high price wise.

Drop next day shipping. You'll end up waiting a month for it to build, so save the money and get normal shipping and wait the extra day or two. You can usually talk them into giving you free shipping after the purchase, anyways.

    Wow, that's ... kinda pricy.

If you live in the states, by all means use the coupon. It's free money.

Use the 25% off coupon and drop it to around $1500

I suggest the T9300 and the LED also

Okay now I am still a lil over $2000 so I have to outwiegh the options...which would be the best deal...the LED Screen or the 2.5GHz 6MB Cache Processor? I will be traveling with the notebook so I may need the battery life...all im asking is a notebook decent enough to run the games mentioned abovee^^^^

Would the LED screen benefit you all that much for your uses?

Just get the two year warranty or drop it altogether and stick w/ one year.

The thing is there is no two year or one year option...by default i get 3 yr with accidental damage plus im gonna need it since i will be a college student and I am clumsy. I was only asking which outweighs what...the 2.5GHz or the LED screen since I will be using this notebook for gaming with the games mentioned in the original thread post (third time im repeating this). Oh yeah, may i mention that I am using this for the Computer Programming and Info Systems major.

The CPUs are very similar performance wise. I would get the LED backlit screen, since it's a lot nicer to work with on a daily basis. It should also provide a bit more battery life than the standard CCFL panels.

I would really get both the T9300 and the LED LCD, but if you really really can't spare and extra $100 for the T9300, then go ahead and get the LED LCD..

The difference with the LED might be more beneficial than the benefit with the T9300, as you already have an excellent processor...
