Basically got this for free (well, after quite a long personal hell with dell), and there is a slight chance it's refurbished (is there a way I can tell if it was or not?) but looks VERY new
    Intel Pentium dual-core processor T2080 (1MB/1.73GHz/533MHz)
    2GB, DDR2, 533MHz 2 Dimm for Inspiron 6400/E1505
2x 85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
    24X Combo CD-RW/DVD for Inspiron 6400/E1505
    15.4 Inch TrueLife Wide-screenWXGA, for Inspiron 6400/E1505
ATI Mobile Radeon x1400 (How do I tell for sure?)
    160GB 5400RPM SATA HARD DRIVE I6400/E1505
    Integrated Wifi

will this last me for a while or what?
    plays EQ2 great

out of respect to the person who helped me I'm not gonna go into detail
I wouldn't say free, just paid for a long time before I actually received it

Rate it... really good for free. I'd pay maybe $900 for this, new...

Did you CompleteCare your old one? I think it's refurbished if you do that. Maybe check the bottom to see?

To tell what video card it is, go into the control panel, system, hardware, device manager, display adapters.

You got two 9-cell batteries? Wow.

I'll do that and if it says x1400 256mb that's DEFINATELY what it is?
invoice said x1300 128mb, as does the bios... but everything else on the computer like properties says 256mb x1400.

What do I check for to see if it's a refurb? If this is a refurb- I don't know why anyone would buy new heh

I rate yours 1 less than my new laptop on order :p Heh, but you gotta better deal, I paid more than basically free. I hate it when you gotta go thru hell dealing with a company, but it's nice that they made it up to you in the end. I have no idea how to tell if it has been refurbished. But they do have a whole lot of 1505's right now at Dell outlet. I almost went with one of those (exact build), but then found out that if you use the Dell Employee & Affiliates Purchase Program, you have to buy a new system. Wish I could have afforded just to buy it straight out...would have saved me 600 or so...Good luck to you and your new laptop :)

Hmmm... well, you could benchmark it.
