i remember reading somewhere on the site that the 533 was actually better or faster than the 667ghz in regards to RAM... Latency????

I can't remember and searched and can't find it -

    Thanks for any help

533Mhz memory usually has a CAS latency of 4 while 667 MHz memory has a CAS latency of 5. Even though 667 is faster clockspeed-wise, it's higher latency cancels out the benefit. Latency is basically how long it takes the memory to "recycle" in between uses. 533 is slower but has a lower latency. I would probably get 667 Mhz memory if the price was the same/only a little bit higher to match the 667 front side bus speed if I had a CPU with a 667FSB.

In either case, the difference will not be noticeable and will only exist in synthetic benchmarks.

    Summary: Get whatever is cheaper.
