I am a little confused, i called in dell to change the color of my XPS 1530; and the total amount changed from $2040 to $1160, with tax and shipping; am i missing something?
-
WOW what a deal
-
maybe wait for the computer to come and if its all good and they only charged 1160 then keep it!
-
Ummm...I think you got a really, really good deal
And, I would go with it..Unless you hear otherwise
If you want, you can call them to find out, why there is the significant price differential?
Congrat's to you
-
+1
agreed. Go ahead and order. They'll let you know if there is a problem. I once ordered an HP which was listing $900 cheaper. It was flagged, and then they offered it to me for a reduced price but not the full "reduced" price. I would go ahead and order and see what happens, don't phone them up though. they might recalculate the deal! -
Yeah, just keep silent like me. I ordered the XPS M1530 w/ the SoundBlaster X-Fi ExpressCard. The express card got shipped early, and my XPS got cancelled. So I reinstated the whole purchase and now I got an extra express card. Basically I got those express cards for $50 instead of $125+.

Check the specs, and if it is the same, keep it, they might have configured you a basic system and only changed the color, thats what it sounds like..
-
I checked the specs, we even confirmed every single part over the phone; i dont wanna call to make sure they made a mistake, might get lucky XD
-
Does it really make that big of a difference? Never used that kind of a thing before, but judging by the physical hardware of the speakers, I have a feeling it doesnt make that much of a difference.
-
Sounds like your good to go then
When is your shipping date?? -
I've read reviews before I decided on the card and most users seem to be happy with their purchase. From personal experience, it does make a difference in how music, movies, and games are amplified through headphones and sound system. I have tested this myself by hearing from the integrated vs. the X-Fi sound jack on the same MP3 track and noticed the difference. It's more crispy, clear, and more "umph" on the X-Fi card.
Sorry original poster for jacking the thread, but good luck with the deal.

Not at all hanime, helping others is good thang
The first order ship date was 05/29; the "re-entered" orderdate is 6/04; so not much of a delay. -
5 days delay, basically half the price, damn youre lucky.. Why would the original price of the 1530 be $2000 anyway? I got mine almost spec'ed to the best and it only came out to be $1283.48 shipped next day air..
-
i actually got the specs exactly like yours (except its with a 7200rpm 250GB drive); it came out to $2000 WITH the stackable $800 savings; so i guess the guy saw it was overpriced and but it down? <_<
-
$2000 with the stackable savings? which savings is stackable?
-
i forgot which were, but it was the coupons before the 29th of april; theres always usually either the 25% off option or the student discount of 15% off
-
I see.. the 25% plus EPP.. I got that except my EPP was only 5% but i also got free next day air shipping.. good enough for me..
Re-Entered Order...
