Does anyone know how to program the MediaDirect button on an E1505 to launch another application instead of Media Experience? I upgraded to PowerDVD 7, and it would sure be nice to simply press the MediaDirect button on the keyboard and launch that app. Seems like there should be a simple setting somewhere to assign the app of choice to the button, but I haven’t been able to find it.

    Thanks

No you can not assign it for other buttons. The MD button can either lauche MCE (if you have XP MCE) or Media Experience - those are the only two choices.

That's sad, I was still hoping to be able to launch windows with one button and linux with the other :(

I could think of a way to do it, but don't want to promise anything because I'm busy and don't have the 5 minutes to try it out. However, it seems entirely possible to create a exe that is named the same as the launch file and have it instead laucnh the program you want.

Probably wouldn't work for MCE installations, but may for Home/Pro installations.

As far as the functionality when the PC is off for the Linux/Windows discussion I think at that point its an MBR question, and there is a good thread about that elsewhere on here.

Yeah, that’s a shame. But thanks for the response, SouthernGirl.
