Hi
I ordered a Vostro 1500 last sunday, and it is in pre-production stage.
Stupidly, I forgot to add Bluetooth, which was only about $18
I called Dell and they said they had to cancel my order so I could re-order one with the Bluetooth added.
Now it would take about 2 days to get the money back, and I would have to wait for the refund to be able to order again, since I don't have that much money on my account..
Is it worth it? All this hassle is making me disappointed. Seems stupid not to have bluetooth on a laptop, also quite ugly and unpractical to have a usb dongle..
But the laptop still wont be on my doorstep until 12 sept..
Forgot to add:
I prob wouldn't use bluetooth at all, except if I'd like to download pics from a phone and would have forgotten the usb cable for it at home.
Im just thinking about getting bluetooth so it would be more sellable in the future.

You can just buy a bluetooth usb receiver.
-
I got one for £5
Works a charm.
You say that a usb dongle would be ugly...but you will rarely use it so unless you are worried that the laptop will think you have no style than I would just buy one -
I have internal bluetooth on my laptop, but only because I use mine all the time to sync and/or hook into the internet through my treo 700p. I honestly don't use it for anything else if there is wifi around.
Heh. Here in Austin, the friggin Starbuck's wifi is through Tmobile, so the data plan on my phone comes in handy then. -
Would be nice to get the computer here faster. On my T43 I never used the bluetooth.
Got a dongle already from before so no problem there..
You dont think someone will turn it down because of the bluetooth even though the price will be right?
I probably will just let it be and wait for my nice laptop to arrive -

you can buy one from ebay for $20 that is the same as factory from dell

I don't know what they are talking about, they haven't charged you...they don't charge you until it ships, and if it was in Pre-Production you are fine...

You could ask them to just include it in the box. All it is is an internal usb connection. You take the to plate off and it is right there.
Re-order Vostro
