Hi! Unfortunately, I spilled chocolate milk onto my laptop a few hours ago, and it would not function in the least. Accordingly, I took apart the keys and cleaned around the touch-responsive sensors underneath the keys. Thankfully, my laptop seems to be functioning perfectly.
That being said, I encountered a slight bit of difficulty in removing five of the keys. The "w" key, "y" key, "[" key, "Page Down" key and spacebar all were removed, but in such a fashion that I cannot figure out how to reattach them. I did not break the keys, though they are now in four parts: the key itself, an adhesive "cone" which is applied directly to the center of the blue "touchpad," and two plastic "brackets." I'm positive that none of these are broken and that there is some way to reapply them, I just have no idea how to go about doing so.
Would anyone be able to assist me with this process? I can fully utilize the computer as is, but I have myriad papers to write as part of my final exams and, with three of the "broken" keys being integral to typing even the simplest of sentences, you can imagine how unnatural typing these papers will feel and how long it will take. Additionally, I am worried that leaving these sensors exposed will lead to them going bad, and I don't know how I would seal them off from the air.
Any assistance regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

I've had a few keys off off my 1520 and 1420 keyboard. All I did to put them back on was put them in the right spot and push down until they click.
Although, it might be a good idea to just get a different keyboard for it - it might have problems further down the road with the aftermath of the milk. Keyboards are lactose intolerant, ya know! -
you can be cool and get the vostro keyboard and paint the rest of your case a different colour
