Hello, I received my replacement m1330 and I need to return my original notebook to Dell. Since I moved out from my home to another province to study, I did not bring the original box that came with the notebook. The Dell customer service rep said I can use the box of the new notebook instead. My question is, what about the CDs, earphones and other accessories that came with the new laptop? I did not bring the accessories that came with my original one to school so I'm just wondering if it's ok to send the new accessories instead. :(

I don't think they'll notice the difference if the accessories are identical.

Dell has told me that as long as you send back 1 part for every 1 you receive it's fine.

Now this was when asking about shipping back actual laptops which seems wrong as service tags would get all screwed up, but for accessories and discs it shouldn't be any problem.

I think you should be fine sending the accessories that came with your replacement in place of the other ones. That's what I did with my original system that I sent back.

Restore it within vista (search for the pcrestore app on the recovery partition)
