My son broke the screen on his Studio 1535. I've taken out the panel and seen that it's a AU Optronics B154EW08.
A supplier I contacted told me that Dell laptops need panels specifically manufactured for dell laptops and that a general AU Optronics B154EW08 would not work in a Dell machine (surprise, surprise  ).
So I've then started searching for panels for this specific model laptop but several different panel manufacturers are quoted - AUO, LG, etc..

Can anyone confirm if I order a replacement panel for a dell laptop, that the panel, regardless of manufacturer, will work with my model laptop?
Also, can anyone recommend a supplier in Europe?

Yeah the panel will fit, i just got one off ebay for my e6400. Manufacturers don't really make panels specific for one laptop afaik.
One supplier i've had really good experiences with is Laptop Computers For Sale - Cheap Computers, Dell & HP UK
ship throughout the EU and pretty fast too. They pretty much specialise in Dell stuff also.

Check Ebay for Studio 1535 LCDs, there should be some. Be sure to get one from a reputable seller, preferably one that guarantees against dead pixels.
