Hi guys. I'm trying to install Video Card drivers for a Dell Latitude D600 (Redeon 9000 Drivers). I've tried so many times using different drivers I've downoaded from the net but it just won't beginn the installation. I'm using the "ATI 7-5-mobile_xp_dd_ccc_enu_46755.exe" I don't know much about computers and your help would greatly be appriciated.

Below are a few examples of error messages i got when trying to install the drivers.

    "INF Error:
Video driver not found" , "Setup was not able to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter with your standard VGA driver before running setup."

"Setup did not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or operating system. Setup will now exit"

The reason why I'm trying to re-install the drivers is because 1 tym my laptop just couldn't play the sound and after trying all diagnostics I assumed it lost sound drivers and I restored my compter to an earlier date. The sound was restored but now I can't play any games on the laptop because it asks me of DirectX9.0c which I have hence I was playing the games before.

    Thank you in advance.

PS: Sorry if such issues has been dealt with before

Um where are you downloading these drivers from?

from the ATI site? if so you should be aware that the drivers made for the desktop models aren't meant for the laptop cards so unless they actually state they are for the ATI mobility 9000 or basically ATI mobility cards then they will not work.

the driver is nto found perhaps because the drivers you downloaded are not meant for it. did u try the dell website?

also i think omega drivers (google them) are a good alternative, they are modded so they work for mobile cards as well as desktop,

Yes they are from the ATI site. Thanks for the advice I will try the omega ones.

PS: Sorry for double post, it was not intentional.
