I just got an old inspiron 6000 from my sister but she lost all the drivers and OS recovery disc. It originally had windows xp home but I reformatted with a different copy of windows xp PRO on it and downloaded the drivers off the dell drivers page. I installed the drivers but they still don't work. It shows up with no updated drivers under device manager. Also on the taskbar it doesn't show the battery meter for laptops. So I don't know if windows recognizes the computer as a laptop? Can anyone help me?
