    Hey Guys,

I have a dilemma. My CD-ROM stopped working and I need to reformat my 700m. I installed a USB DVD Reader/Writer and it does not read the Windows CD from my laptop. I know the device works because it worked fine on my PC. How can I reformat Windows?

you have to be able to boot from a usb device which i don't know if the 700m does. if it does, it has to be enabled in the BIOS.

otherwise, you can do it via LAN

Get a USB thumbdrive (providing that your notebook supports booting to usb) and get Bart to give you a hand, installing Windows PE into it.

I don't have the link but you can search in his labyrinth at http://www.bootcd.us/index.php
