A reformat and clean install of XP Pro cleared many of my problems on my 9300. My 9300 was a bit sluggish for the first 2 months after received. My LCD wasn't come on right away after waking up from standby (1 full minute). FireFox was acting up (freezing when cold boot). I also had problems with my DVD writer as well. It took forever to rip a standard audio CD and many others.

After a clean install of XP, I installed everthing back, did a Window updates and Ghosted the drive to DVD. This way, I can go back to these images yearly to clean out all the junks I will be collecting :)

My system runs 10 times faster now. I hate that Dell put a bunch of junks on these systems.

I have 2gb of ram on my new 6000, it was running sluggish when I first got it from Dell. I reformatted and it's running like a champ now.
