I followed everyone’s advice and reformatted. I'm in the process of downloading all the drivers now, but there isn't a chipset available for download from dell for the I6000. I'm not sure what it's for, just that I should have installed that first. I should also mention that I used an earlier version of XP Pro sp1(shipped with XP Home) which I'm also in the process of updating to sp2.

    Thanks bugmenot!

I actually downloaded it from the Intel website.

I'm now having another problem with my wireless network connection. It can't even locate a network in range. I think something got screwed up when I reformatted. Does it matter that my chipset wasn't installed until near the end of my driver installations?
