I saw the how to reformat post. I used to reformat my old laptop with Win 98 on it many times. I have a Dell 9100 and havent done it yet but want to. Here are my initial questions.
Backing up things:
I used to use Outlook Express. it had a "file" that represented all the folders in ones email. Now I use Outlook and want to know the best way to back up this email. I have tons of email back from 1998 to present. I dont want to lose this.
How do I best back up email and contacts in Outlook to transfer back to reformatted system. I have a hard drive to backup all stuff. so storage isnt a problem

Outlook is similar to OE in the back up area. I use to have Outlook, but it has been awhile, so I cheated.
Here is MS directions on how to do it:

Save this file to a disc and any other information that you want to save. Then reformat. The reformat guide is designated more towards the newer laptops that have the MediaDirect, so some of the things won't pertain to you (like the partition area). If you have questions, about any of the process, let me know.
