did anyone here got a 17'' vostro with a 59 Hz refresh rate screen ???

it can be all right but I got Battlefield 2142 and it only work on a 60 Hz refresh rate and I spoke to a reps from dell and he checked with a techniciens... He said to me that they never seen that, they gonna give me a brand new laptop but I'm sure that I'm gonna get back with a 59 Hz screen...

all 17'' vostro owners..can you check your refresh rate for me ? thank you !

I got the Hard Drive clicking sound too ! :(

If you go into your device settings and delete the monitor driver, and restart, it'll prob. fix itself.

it's not a hardware problem. LCDs do not refresh. the refresh functionality built into XP/Vista/whatever has absolutely no bearing on the LCD at all. it's there for CRTs.

if you're really having problems with gaming, it is somewhere else because, again, refresh rates having nothing to do with LCDs, only CRTs

so uncheck the option to hide unsupported refresh rates and there you'll get your 60Hz.
