I really need to know if i can get them to give me a break from being just a week after the 30 days warranty, should i tell them about the B.B.B.?
Would that matter, cuz i have many heat issues with my sxps16?
I don't think that's fair to get a new one and take the chance of getting their refurb parts

    Thanks in advance :)

What kind of heat issues are you having? Have you run HWMonitor?

I think you're out of luck on the refund. Why'd you wait a week to decide to go for the refund?

As you clearly have observed, new laptops may suck big time; there is nothing wrong with getting "refurb" parts (the parts may be new for all you know); and there is nothing magical about "new" parts.

I got the LCD of my precision M90 replaced 2 days after I got it; its been now 3 years and I've been very happy with the LCD :)

Well..dell is not obliged to give you a refund; but you may try asking politely for a refund ASAP.
