Does anyone know the policy on refunds for laptops?

I'm wondering how long it is?

And do you need a good reason?

I don't have any particular fault, just that I'm not happy with the quality of the product.

You have 21 days as I recall. But you will be charged a 15% restocking fee, unless there are any faults with the system. *hint hint*

    Really? 15%!!
    That's a bit steep.
Then you have to pay for shipping, insurance etc. And it's at your risk in transit.
    So you're looking at a loss at around $3 - 400. That's almost a 3rd of the cost.
    Not good.

Registered Shipping w/ $1500 insurance cover will cost about $20-30 through Auspost.

What exactly didnt you like about the M1330?

I dont think theres a restocking fee. Call up dell australia and ask

No, you're not. Call them. Then read this.

You should be fine, tell them the truth that it's not nearly good enough quality for what you wanted. Then ask for the department like in the thread above.

They'll work with you, I'm sure.

There's not really ONE thing. I just find it very uninspiring. It's a cheap feeling, boring machine.
It does everything OK, but nothing particularly well. It's pretty slow.
Even though it's got the fastest and biggest this and that.
For e.g. I put it up against a MacBook the other day and even though the XPS is much more powerful, the MacBook was far-and-away faster.
    Maybe that's Vista?

Anyway, it's not really the speed, just a combination of things.

If I were forced to give ONE reason, I would say: "IT"S F*CKING BORING"

If you Vista has bloatware, im not suprised with your dissapointed experience. All the crapware hinders performance

How much did you purchase that machine for?

It's full of bloatware. I just haven't got round to, or maybe I can't be bothered, or maybe I think I'll bugger it up, removing all the stuff ...

I've got a mate in IT, maybe I should give it to him and say "here, make it all better"

I can offer you my MacBook (specs in sig) plus cash for your M1330. Nothing wrong with the MacBook, I'd just prefer the Dell. I'm in Sydney. PM me if interested.
