I've received my refund notice through the post from Dell and it is dated the 20th May 2008 but I've still not got my money back in my account. How long do Dell typically take to refund money?

I've informed them I'm still to get my money and they mentioned having to wait until the next 'billing cycle' - and also to phone my bank (my bank deny any knowledge of a refund - given the treatment Dell have given me since I bought with them, I trust my bank more!)

    All very frustrating!

When i was refunded for my laptop it took a bit longer for me to get the refund as i no longer was using the card that i ordered my laptop with. I lost the card that i was using and put a stop on it and got it replaced so the refund had to sit my banks holding department for a few days. It takes much longer when you have replaced your card. Are you still using the same card that you ordered your laptop with? If you are not i would give your bank a ring a call and tell them to contact the relevant department that can deal with this.

Normally though for other things when i have not replaced my card that i ordered with refunds can come through within 5 working days.

I remember reading some months back that you wanted a refund.

Thanks for the help - I have had my card changed since then, so I guess I will ring my bank up again and mention to them that it could be Dell have sent the money to the wrong place.

Yup, I finally persauded Dell the XPS M1330 I had bought was a dud :)

I have resorted to writing them a letter (signed for) as my bank has checked and there is definitely no refund at present to any of my cards (new and old). Told Dell in the letter this and said they need to sort it asap.
