    Hi everybody,

taking into account my daily use (Office, iTunes, lots of surfing, light DVD to iPod conversion, DVDs) what would you buy and why?

    Laptop no 1: Toshiba L650-12Q
    Spec: i5 430, 4GB, 320GB, IntelHD, 2 years warranty, ex display immaculate condition, £489.

    Laptop no 2: Dell 1558
    Spec: i3 , 4GB, 320GB, Ati5470 1GB, 1 year warranty, cert refurb, £500.

From a purely design point of view, I think I like the Toshiba more. Quite fancy all-black computers.

    I'd appreciate your comments!

Id go with the Toshiba. The intel graphics cards are much improved nowadays and is therefore perfectly ample for your needs. However if you have forgotten to mention you are a hardcore gamer, id consider losing the integrated card.

But definitely the Toshiba there mate!

Personally I would go with the dell refurb. My first dell laptop was a refurbed xps 1530 and they treat you the same exact way they treat a new laptop customer. If something breaks and it needs to be replaced they will still send a repair person over to fix it for you.... with toshiba unless you live near one of their repair depots you have to ship it to them which who knows how long it would take
