    Hey guys,

I just ordered a refurb, it should be here in a few days. I wanted to run some tests when I got it to check out the hardware. What do you guys suggest to test out the HD, Video Card, Processor, RAM, etc.

    Specs:
    M1730
    X9000
    4 GB RAM
    200 GB HD
    SLI 8700M

It's hot, I can't wait! I have an XPS Gen 2 (you guys remember those). I still love it, just a bit slow nowadays. The x9000 should speed things up for me :).

    Thanks!
    Jeff.

    Hi webjeff,
Although I'm sure you'll be more than happy with your new M1730, you can press F12 at boot to enter the startup menu. After you have reached your startup menu, select diagnostics. This will allow you to test every component in the system. Also, the very same diagnostic will be present on your resource cd if you boot from it.

    Hope this helps,
    Gabe
