    When you buy a "certified refurbished" notebook from the dell outlet is the battery new or what?

    I think you get the battery that Dell got it back with. I imagine Dell probably does some conditioning.

    My Inspiron 1520 came with a brand new battery ... but it was also a brand new laptop from the outlet.
