    I got my Inspiron 1420 along with my remote, but when I keep it in the expresscard slot for a long period of time, it seems to get quite hot. I'm wondering if it's ok to keep the remote in the slot and whether or not the heat will ruin the battery.

    its probably ok, seeing they engineered it to go there. its only hot cuz its right above the hard drive.
