One way or another I managed to disable the scroll buttons on the Inspiron 9300 touchpad. Please, can someone tell me how to turn it back on?

    Thanks

I don't mean to be a pest, but what and where is the "synaptics icon"?

Not everyone has synaptics drivers. The easiest way is to go to the control panel-->mouse properties-->gestures tab-->check "use scroll function".

It might be on a different tab, but on my laptops that i've seen it is on the Gestures tab.
