I haven't found much on this, and Dell has been no help. Maybe this is part of why they stopped giving disks out as well...

I work with Latitudes and Vostro's typically, and have received a few new ones in. I've had to do fresh installs on these machines, including the new E6410's, as well as the 3500's. The problem, once you install fresh with the Dell CD (and not the recovery partition), the machine blue screens constantly. It seems as though there is something missing, even though every driver as been installed.

Anyone else experience this on here? All machines run Windows 7 Pro, and every machine that was installed outside of the partition has this issue. I know a few other people that have had this issue locally as well..

Only machine's that have these issues are running the new Corei series chips, and any models with Core2Duo's work perfectly fine.

I've had no problems with an E6410 that I had set up with Windows 7 Professional 32-bit, it was a Core i5 with Intel graphics. What are the specs on the systems? Are you deploying an image, or manually prepping each system?

Be sure to check the Event Viewer and Reliability Monitor as well, they may help pin-point the problem.

Did you do a fresh install, using a Dell CD for it?

All systems have been reinstalled completely, using a Dell Windows 7 Pro CD. All drivers were installed, nothing in event viewer, or anything else.

Various systems, some with the embedded graphics, some with the add on.

It's just odd, as it's not just me experiencing it. I've talked to several friends in the IT field that work with Dell's, and they all have said the same thing. One imaged the machine prior to reinstalling, had problems after the reinstall, so they reverted back, no issues.

All systems are at least Corei5.

I've tried both, seeing if it made a difference.

Never had issues when doing Core2Duo's, or any other chip. Just seems odd that I've talked to others with the same issue. Reinstalled many computers over the years in this field, so it just doesn't fit.

Strange though, maybe one day I'll figure out the issue. Can't avoid reinstalling, considering people have a habit of messing up their PCs.

Usually, after you get a bluescreen, Windows 7 should show an error message. Have you seen those?

It's strange that the bluescreens weren't recorded anywhere though...
