I unistalled it but now I want it back. There's a link in the start menu that starts the installation but it asks for a cd, the one that came with the laptop didn't work.

Well, first off, i feel bad for you, having those problems (CPU Whine, Headphone jack noise & Left speaker buzz). Did you have the real version, or the demo? because the real version is $40 here is dells site for it if you had the demo, just click "download demo". if you had the full version, then i would advise calling dell, or doing an online chat with them, so you can get a replacement disc or something.

I think it was the full version. Calling dell is not an option because I bought it in the u.s. and I'm in colombia.
What's that cd that came with the laptop anyway? maybe network assistant is there but i didn't find it.
btw: the cpu and headphone issue got better with rmclock, and the speaker buzz is actually a blown speaker, it sounds weird at high volume. -
You may try live chat support. They can guide you through and install the full version for you if it is included in your original order. With online chat, it does not matter where you are in the world.
Reinstall Dell network assistant
