I thought I read about a guide on how to create a DVD from Dells recovery partition. I cannot find anything like that anymore, so I just wanted to ask:

If my Vostro 1400 arrives without an original Vista Business DVD, am I still able to somehow do a clean reinstall?

And to all the "Reinstalling Vista isn't necessary"-people: You have a point, and yet: I am a perfectionist, so I want to have as much control of my system as Microsoft allows me to have. A clean, reinstalled Vista with a little tweaking (turning off UAC for example - best done right after installation) will run stable and fast much longer than a "normal", bloated one. :)

Yeah thanks but I'm from Germany and to my knowledge, we don't have such a fancy form ;-) Sure, I reckon if I'd call them they oughta give one to me for free.
And yet, I'd really like of know if the thing I mentioned above is possible.

The European Vostros ship with Vista media. At least mine did - it's the brown OS disk ;)
