Is it possible to reinstall windows XP MCE without loading the Media Center Program. Dell E1505 is being basically used for work and when I saw all the TV and radio options it made me wonder if this slows down boot up and hogs memory. I have seen where the XP MCE edition appears to based on XP Pro which should be a plus.

Im afraid i dont think its possible to do that. However i can't see that it would slow down the boot time or running speed of windows much, if not at all. You are right, XP MCE is based on xp pro, but with some disable features
